California Casualty Helps Honor California’s Teachers of the Year

San Mateo, CA, February 16, 2018 – Supporters of education from across the state gathered recently in Sacramento for the gala to celebrate the five California Teachers of the Year finalists for 2018. The moving event was sponsored by California Casualty.

“The California Teachers of the Year represent all of the educators and support professionals who are committed to helping our students learn and grow. Their energy is inspiring and contagious,” said California Casualty CEO Beau Brown after attending the annual ceremony.

The five honorees left an indelible impression on others from California Casualty. Vice President of Account Relations, Roxanne Dean, remarked, “All the recipients have a passion for valuing each child they have a chance to meet and work with.”

Partner Relations Field Marketing Manager Christy Forward added, “I feel like the education of our children is in good hands based upon the abundance of passionate, smart and motivated teachers in that room. I am proud of California Casualty’s role as presenting sponsor and proud to be part of a company that values education and educators.”

“The passion and emotion of the awardees and the incredible life stories shared by the finalists brought home how dedicated our teachers truly are,” said AVP Lisa Almeida. “The care and love they show for their students is inspirational.”

Dr. Brian McDaniel, music instructor at Painted Hills Middle School in Desert Hot Springs, was named California’s 2018 National Teacher of the Year candidate.
