A mobile homeowners policy is actually a "package" of coverages.  One part of the package protects your  mobile home and belongings from specific events that that can damage your property and provides additional living expenses if you are temporarily unable to live in your home because of an insured loss.  Another important part of the package covers you for lawsuits or liability claims that might otherwise be your responsibility if you accidentally injure other people or damage their property.

Start by taking an inventory, room by room. Collect receipts for major items. Be sure to take photographs or a videotape. For big-ticket items, like jewelry, paintings or furs, you may need to add a scheduled personal property endorsement, which is additional coverage just for those items.

You should review it every year, especially if you have made changes to the mobile home, such as remodeling or adding lots of new furniture, appliances or equipment, or upgrading the electrical systems.

Yes. Earthquake insurance is only sold as an endorsement to your homeowners policy.
