Thomas R. Brown, CLU Thomas is Honorary Chairman of California Casualty Group's Advisory Board. In addition, he serves as Chairman of the Board of California Casualty Management Company, a position he has held since 1978. From 1978 to January 1, 2004, he also served as California Casualty Management Company's CEO. He is the third generation of his family to lead California Casualty. Tom started with the company in 1961. He has an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and a M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. |

Jackie A. Gatlin Jackie is an Executive Vice President with the California Casualty Management Company and a member of the Board of Directors. Jackie began her career with California Casualty in January 1986, shortly after she graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in Communication from California State University, Fullerton (CSU Fullerton). Holding various front-line positions in the sales, marketing, and service functions gave her a true understanding of who we are and what we stand for. She was also a Sales Manager and one of the founding leaders who started up our largest and first service center. |

Joseph L Volponi, FCAS, MAAA Joe is an Executive Vice President with the California Casualty Management Company and a member of the Board of Directors. He joined California Casualty in 1979. He oversees all aspects of the Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, Product Development and Group Relations functions. Joe is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. |

Michael D. Bower Mike joined California Casualty Management Company in 1990 and has held a variety of positions related to Finance, Investments and Information Technology. His current responsibilities include Investments, Strategic Planning and leading the company's IT Council. Mike holds a B.S. in Finance from Golden Gate University. |

Douglas A. Goldberg, CIC Doug began his career with California 1986 and has worked in nearly all of the operating departments of California Casualty. This experience gives him familiarity when managing our group and customer relationships, whether it's working with the leadership of national or state-level accounts. He's achieved the Certified Insurance Counselor designation, a nationally recognized distinction in our industry. Doug is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. |

James F. Grady, Ph.D. Jim joined the Executive Team at California Casualty Management Company in 1998 and is currently responsible for leading the Human Resources and Corporate Services functions. Jim has a B.S. in Psychology and a Master's and Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Pittsburgh. He also attended the two year Executive Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Jim is regularly invited to speak at industry meetings and conferences. |

Barbara K. Gurnett Barb began her career with California Casualty in 2000. Barb has many years of experience in the insurance industry serving in a variety of positions. She is currently responsible for leading corporate training and development, call center scheduling and the company’s website development and strategy. Barb holds a B.S. degree in Business from the University of Nebraska. |

Vasu Kadambi Vasu joined California Casualty’s Information Technology department in 1988 bringing extensive Consulting, Finance and Government experience. As a CIO, Vasu has been strategically involved in managing diverse technical teams within the company to provide business solutions through technology in the areas of Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Claims, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, and Finance. Vasu holds an M.S. in Engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington. |

James R. Kauffman Jim is an attorney who manages the Claims Department for California Casualty Management Company. He has 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined California Casualty in 1983 and has spent time in the Underwriting Department and the General Counsel's Office. He has both trial court and appellate experience. Jim is a graduate of the University of Arizona and Golden Gate University School of Law. He has also completed coursework at the University of California Hastings College of Trial Advocacy and Harvard University Center for Mediation Studies. He is licensed to practice law in both California and Illinois. |

Patrick O. Lynch Pat joined California Casualty in 1981. During his career he has had responsibility for Sales, Customer Service, Claims, Field Marketing, and Underwriting Operations. Pat has been instrumental in operation performance turnarounds, as well as operational start-up efforts. Pat holds a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. |

Michael A. Ray, CPA Mike joined California Casualty in 2001 as Controller, a position he held through 2006. Mike has experience in traditional external audits, co-sourced internal audit, and enterprise risk management engagements. Mike holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant from the State of California. Mike serves as a director for CalCPA's San Francisco Chapter. Mike has served as a Board Member and Treasurer of Cabrillo School's Parent Teacher Organization since 2006. He is the chairperson of the Pacifica School District's Parcel Tax Oversight Committee. |
