California Casualty Celebrates California Nurse Practitioners

San Mateo, CA, December 19, 2014 California Casualty celebrated the important work of California nurse practitioners throughout the entire month of November, with a chance to win free membership to the California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP). In honor of National Nurse Practitioner Week (Nov. 9-15), California Casualty sponsored yearly dues for three randomly selected members.

Southern California nurse practitioner Cherie Fort was ecstatic after receiving her free membership. Leah Gumpert, from the Sacramento Chapter, and Theresa Ullrich, CANP President Elect and a member of the Orange County Chapter, are also enjoying their free membership renewals.

"Each year, one week in mid-November is declared National Nurse Practitioner Week. The occasion is not only a great opportunity to recognize the many contributions of nurse practitioners, but also to promote awareness of NPs and the important role they play in our health care delivery system.  CANP was so pleased to have partnered with California Casualty Auto and Home Insurance to offer three complimentary CANP annual memberships," said CANP President Donna Emanuele.

California Casualty supports the more than 18,000 nurse practitioners making a difference for thousands of patients across the Golden State. Nurse practitioners are an essential component in today's health care system, providing primary care, disease prevention and counseling services for all Californians.

The CANP has partnered with California Casualty to offer customized auto and home insurance specifically tailored to its members. To learn more about the CANP, visit http://canpweb.org.
