California Casualty Doubles Effort to Help Educators with Classroom Supplies

San Mateo, CA, March 23, 2015 … California Casualty, provider of the NEA® Auto and Home Insurance Program, is dedicating more resources to its Help Your Classroom initiative. Now eight randomly selected instructors from K-12 schools across the nation are awarded donations totaling $1,600 each month.

The on-going Help Your Classroom program was created by California Casualty to aid schools and teachers affected by diminished resources. The funds are specifically designated to provide supplies or equipment that directly benefits students and classrooms.

The $200 awards have been used to: augment audio and video editing equipment, purchase phonemic reading aids, provide more writing practice boards, and buy books, paper and pencils.

Here are some comments from recent winners: "Thank you, this is amazing news." "Wow, thank you so much! This is the best news for the week so far." "I am very excited to be chosen! I told my class and they are thrilled!"

No purchase is necessary to qualify for Help Your Classroom dollars. Any member of the NEA or a state affiliate is eligible to enter at www.calcas.com/help-your-classroom or through the NEA member benefits page at www.neamb.com/autohome.
