California Casualty Educator-Inspired Video Series Wins Prestigious Award

San Mateo, CA, June 8, 2018 – California Casualty’s inspirational “This is My Moment” video series has received a Bronze 2018 Telly Award. The series captured educators sharing their most inspirational stories. The purpose of the campaign was to honor them by providing the “moments” that defined their careers. The moving videos take viewers to real classroom experiences filled with enlightenment, laughter and tears.

Kelly’s story highlighted how her dedication to students helped one follow his dreams to become a professional dancer.

The cameras followed Aaron and his efforts to change the world one student at a time, and how a student named Joe helped him realize that goal.

And Hannah, a cancer survivor, tells how she turned her ordeal into a learning opportunity for her classes.

“We felt that it was important to show our partners that we truly understand their lives and provide a value beyond insurance products,” said California Casualty Social Media Associate Dani Creasy.

Wide Awake Films shot and produced the series. Studio Manager Kerry Ramirez said they were thrilled to take on a project that departed from the industrial and historical content they normally create. “We loved that California Casualty truly cares about and supports teachers, and our goal was to drive home the message that good teachers are instrumental in changing the course of our kids’ lives for the better.”

The “Moments” series received 466,000 views across various platforms and can be viewed at https://mycalcas.com/?s=This+is+my+moment.

The Telly Awards highlight the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials and outstanding local regional, and cable TV commercials and programs from around the world. This year’s competition featured over 13,000 high-caliber entries. “This is My Moment” was entered in the online web series scripted category. Learn more at www.tellyawards.com/about/about/.
