California Casualty Wants to Help Your Classroom

Help Your Classroom from California CasualtySan Mateo, CA, March 27, 2019 – There’s an easier way for educators to get funding for classroom essentials. California Casualty, provider of the NEA® Auto and Home Insurance Program, continues to provide Help Your Classroom grants to public schools and classrooms during the school year. Each month, eight randomly selected instructors from across the nation are awarded donations totaling $1,600.

Robin H., from Washington, is a recent winner who wrote, “Every fall, the district orders supplies to stock up for the entire school year. We really wanted to purchase a label maker, so the $200 went toward that. I was able to contribute to our supply closet. It was very fun to win!”

Another recent recipient, California’s Cassandra S., said, “Thank you so much! How wonderful/generous that you give back to schools. I am very appreciative and I know that my students will be excited that I am able to purchase new supplies for them. How exciting!”

The Help Your Classroom program was created by California Casualty to aid schools affected by diminished resources. Recipients must use the $200 to provide supplies or equipment that directly benefits students and classrooms. Since its inception, more than 1,300 educators have received the help.

The awards have been used to: augment audio and video editing equipment, purchase phonemic reading aids, provide writing practice boards, and buy books, paper and pencils.

No purchase is necessary for the Help Your Classroom grants. Any member of the NEA or a state affiliate is eligible to enter at www.calcas.com/help-your-classroom.

California Casualty has been proudly been serving educators since 1951 and gives back with other programs that benefit schools and students:
