Enter Now for a $7500 California Casualty School Lounge Makeover®

San Mateo, CA, September 17, 2014 … October 3 is the entry deadline for the next California Casualty $7,500 School Lounge Makeover®.

Recognizing the lifelong impact of teachers and the current financial strain on public schools, California Casualty created the School Lounge Makeover® contest in 2011. Twice a year, winners receive a transformation of the area at his or her school designated for teachers and staff.

"Educators deserve an environment that allows them to relax and recharge during the workday," said California Casualty Vice President Mike McCormick. "This is just another way California Casualty can say thank you and show our support."

Instructors from seven schools across the nation have won school lounge makeovers – including Connecticut high school English teacher Debbie Siebert, Ohio science teacher Kelly Gulling and sixth grade teacher Kendra Bowles from California.

Math and science teacher Brady Michel, from Gilbert High School in Anaheim, California, is the latest winner. At the unveiling of the redesigned lounge in May he said, "I really appreciate California Casualty for giving something lasting to our school because teachers really deserve a place that is just for them, that can take their minds off their sometimes stressful jobs – even just for a while."

What would $7,500 do for your staff lounge? Don't miss out; entries for the next California Casualty $7,500 School Lounge Makeover® are now being taken at http://SchoolLoungeMakeover.com. The deadline to enter is October 3, 2014, with the next winner announced by the end of October. A contestant must be an active employee of a K-12 public school or school administrator and a member of NEA or ACSA, COSA, NASA, KASE or OAESA. Should a school administrator win who does not work on a school campus, he/she will have the option of choosing the public school to receive the makeover. All members at the school may also enter, increasing their school's chances of winning.
