California Casualty's Impact Teen Drivers Partnership

Too many teens die every year from distracted or reckless driving. It can be anything; texting, calls, overly-loud music, headphones, dares, or drinking. It doesn't matter. The Impact Teen Drivers program and California Casualty Insurance attempts to call attention to this danger and help teens take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their passengers.

Statistics like these in states like California give the Impact Teen Drivers program purpose:
  • Approximately two-thirds of teen passenger deaths occur when other teenagers are driving.
  • In 2007, nearly 5000 teen drivers died in wrecks.
  • One in four crash-related deaths involves someone 16 to 24 years old, doubling any other age group in the US.
  • In a national survey 20% of teen drivers had at least one crash during their first year on the road.
  • The crash fatality rate is highest within the first 6 months of driving for 16- to 17-year-olds.

The choice is yours, and every bit helps!
